Located at 301 N Main St, Bloomington, IL 61701, Red Raccoon Games operates as an other food place serving Bloomington in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under hobby store, toy store, trading card store, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
This group holds listings that did not fit cleanly into a food or drink category, mostly businesses that were pulled in alongside a restaurant in the same shopping plaza or that combine several kinds of service, such as a market with an attached clinic or a strip-mall unit that also does phone repair or tax preparation. The details here come from the public listing rather than a curated food write-up, so treat the category label loosely and check the business's own hours and services before visiting. Some of these are legitimate neighbors of the food businesses on this site, such as a nail salon or a laundromat in the same strip mall, while others are simply miscategorized on the source data and worth a quick call to confirm what they actually offer.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 12β10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Red Raccoon Games at (309) 828-9196; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. I live locally, and I always have a great experience when visiting Red Raccoon. In my experience, the staff are always polite, friendly, and kind. However, this time it wasnβt that way, when I went in with my family today we tried to go downstairs. There is a restroom sign posted for the downstairs, and I previously saw someone enter the store with their dog and go downstairs without any issue, I assume they were staff though. When I tried going downstairs whoever was working there that day (July 17th 2026, around 2:40 PM) stopped us and said to us βOur downstairs area isnβt open right now.β My family and I thought the way he spoke to us was rude as he sounded annoyed and treated us like we were sneaking into the basement, and didnβt give us any reasons to why it was closed or other restrooms in the building, so we left. I am aware that the basement isnβt for customers, but if this is entirely the case that the area is restricted there should not be a sign saying customers can use the downstairs bathrooms if they are prevented from going down there by staff.

Me and my girlfriend have been to the store twice now. The first time being a couple weeks ago. We went in to glance at some cards, games and legos. Jill ended up helping us at the counter. They have a very vast collection of cards, all of different rarities. The items werenβt MSRP, but that is completely understandable when trying to keep the integrity of shoppers, and not end up giving out a ton of packs to scalpers. We just returned today for a tcg pokemon event. For a very reasonable price, we were able to secure 7 PACKS of pre-released cards. I got to learn how to play the TCG game. Everyone there was super helpful, including the judges and peers who were playing. Highly recommend to anyone who is into trading cards, rpgs, or any other fellow nerds looking for community. Love love love this store.

The gaming room is not handicap accessible. If you have bad knees or hips skip this place. Horrible parking and no mention of it. The area roads and sidewalk are gone. It's just uneven gravel everywhere and parking is extremely limited. Also the employees, at least the two , were not very friendly but the other employees were great.

Great staff, great store β¦ boon for the city of Bloomington. I think RRG needs to pick up the mantle of leadership that it already owns and get more specialty stores in all those empty storefronts. I did a quick assessment of the town β¦ 1 game store. 1 independent bookstore. 0 comic shops. 1 card store. 1 game store. That starts with RRG. It provides a great non screen environment that stresses critical thinking and positivity in a safe space β¦ for people of all ages!

Super cool board games spot. The saw the games I least expected to find. It was bummer that I was traveling and I didn't have room to carry more stuff but if you live in Bloomington and board games is your thing - you won't get wrong with it. Also there's a coffee house in the spot - so well that's something extra for you.
